The Tero express composter wins the $10,000 scholarship in the Mouvement competition

After several months of practice, stress and adrenaline, Tero participated in the "pitch" competition which was held on February 13, 2018, in Montreal. Tero was named the winner of the 3rd edition of the Mouvement Novae and won the grand prize, the Loto-Québec scholarship of $10,000!

Tero won 2 grand prizes at the National Gala of the OSEntreprendre Challenge!

On June 14, the 20th Desjardins Grand Prize Gala of the OSEntreprendre took place, which celebrated its national winners at the Palais Montcalm in Quebec.

After winning the local and regional galas of the OSEntreprendre Challenge, Tero stood out this time on a national scale by winning the Student Business Creator Coup de cœur prize worth $5,000 in addition to winning the 2nd prize of the Technological and Technical Innovation category valued at $5,000.

"The company offers an innovative solution for household food waste management in the form of a compact product with an attractive design that saves time while generating a fertilizer.
These inspiring women entrepreneurs are compelling because of their social and environmental convictions. The OSEntreprendre Challenge brings visibility, that’s for sure. Tero wins the Pierre-Péladeau scholarship valued at $35,000!

On August 7, the Quebecor Media team accompanied by Marie-Claude Barrette, spokesperson for the event, came to surprise us at our office to tell us that we had won one of the four Pierre-Péladeau Bursaries!

This year, it is the 20th edition of the Pierre-Péladeau Bursary, which aims to stimulate the creation of businesses among young Quebec university students. We are therefore invited to participate in the evening specially organized in honour of the 20th anniversary which will take place in October 2018, where all the winners will be announced.

Tero wins the Avenir Environnement award

After qualifying to represent Université Laval last April, Tero participated in the Forces AVENIR University Gala which aims to recognize, honour and promote student involvement in projects that contribute to the formation of conscious, responsible, active and persevering citizens.

It is with great pride that we announce that Tero has won the AVENIR Environment Award! It was a wonderful evening where we were surrounded by some very inspiring people.

We had the chance to spend our evening with a wonderful team from Cascades. We would like to thank Mr. Hugo D’Amours, Vice-President, Communications and Public Affairs at Cascades, who presented us with our prize!

Tero participates in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Pierre-Péladeau scholarships

On October 22, 2018, the evening celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Pierre-Péladeau Bursaries was held in the Old Port of Montreal.

"This year, $200,000 was distributed to four innovative start-ups who found ingenious ways to combine profitability and environmental awareness."

We are very grateful to see our project recognized by the jury of the prestigious Pierre-Péladeau Bursaries. It is with great honour that we won the $35,000 grant! We thank the entire Quebecor team for this wonderful evening, but above all for this financial assistance which definitely makes a big difference for the development of our product!

Tero: winner of the Quebec City call for projects

We are proud to be one of the 15 winning companies of the 4th cohort of the Quebec City call for projects. During the official announcement which took place on December 3, we had the chance to meet with the mayor of Quebec City, Mr. Régis Labeaume and the Deputy Premier of Quebec, the Honourable Geneviève Guilbault – Member of Parliament of Louis-Hébert and to present them with Tero, our alternative and innovative solution to composting that will simplify the lives of our city’s citizens.

We thank the City of Quebec for supporting the creation of innovative, structuring and job-creating businesses in Quebec. This financial contribution makes all the difference for start-up companies like ours!
